The following Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”), and Emergent Methods (“we,” “us,” or “our”), concerning your access to and use of the asknews.app website as well as any other media form, media channel, mobile website or mobile application related, linked, or otherwise connected thereto (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with all of these terms, then you are expressly prohibited from using the Service and must discontinue use immediately.

We reserve the right to make changes or modifications to these Terms and Conditions at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last updated” date of these Terms and Conditions, and you waive any right to receive specific notice of each such change. Refunds must be requested within 30 days of the date of purchase. Refunds do not include Stripe processing fees.

"Content" on AskNews, including but not limited to articles, images, videos, and any other material, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All content published on the app is the exclusive property of AskNews or its content suppliers.

By accessing the Service, you agree that:
Ownership: All content displayed on AskNews is owned by Emergent Methods or its content suppliers. This includes, but is not limited to, designs, text, graphics, images, video, information, logos, software, audio files, and computer code.

Restrictions on Use: You may use the content from AskNews for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You are not permitted to copy, reproduce, redistribute, sell, broadcast, rent, share, modify, or otherwise exploit any of the content on AskNews without express written permission from us.

No Unauthorized Use: The unauthorized use, reproduction, modification, distribution, transmission, or display of any content provided on AskNews is strictly prohibited. Any unauthorized use may subject you to civil and criminal penalties under applicable laws.

User-Generated Content: If the Service allows for user-generated content, you grant AskNews a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any content that you post on or in connection with the Service.

4. Use of the Service

Lawful Purposes: You agree to use AskNews only for lawful purposes, and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the website. Prohibited behavior includes harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any other user, transmitting obscene or offensive content, or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within AskNews.

•Sending any unsolicited advertising or promotional material, commonly referred to as "spam";

•Attempting to affect the performance or functionality of any computer facilities of or accessed through AskNews.

Enforcement of Rules: Any violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access to the services, without prior notice, in addition to Emergent Method's other rights and remedies. Furthermore, violations may result in legal and/or criminal action against you.

Reporting Unlawful or Prohibited Use: We encourage users to report violations of these use terms. AskNews reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in Emergent Methods' sole discretion, violates this provision, including without limitation, reporting such user to law enforcement authorities.

Content Monitoring and Removal: Emergent Methods reserves the right, but does not assume the obligation, to monitor the content on AskNews to determine compliance with these Terms and Conditions and any other operating rules established by us. Emergent Methods reserves the right in its sole discretion to edit, refuse to post, or remove any material submitted to or posted on AskNews that we find to be in violation of these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.

6. Ownership and Content
6.1 Ownership of the Services.
The Services, including their visual design (e.g., text, graphics, images, logos), proprietary content, and other materials, are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You acknowledge that the Company and/or its licensors hold all rights, titles, and interests in the Services (including any intellectual property rights) and agree not to act in a manner that conflicts with these ownership rights. We and our licensors retain all rights related to the Services and their content (excluding Your Content), including the exclusive right to create derivative works.

The Company’s name, trademarks, logo, and all related branding, product names, designs, and slogans are trademarks owned by the Company, its affiliates, or licensors. Other names, logos, product or service names, designs, and slogans appearing on the Services belong to their respective owners, who may or may not be affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to us.

6.3 Copyright Infringement Notification – DMCA Policy

If you believe any text, graphics, photos, videos, or other materials on the Services infringe upon your copyright, you can notify our copyright agent under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) by submitting a written notice that includes the following:

User content refers to any text, images, videos, dashboards or other materials you create or consume through any of the Services. User content may contain links to Third-Party Materials (as defined in detail in Section 8 of the present document). You agree that AskNews, Emergent Methods, and its affiliates are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or legality of any user-generated content.

8. Use of Third-Party Content in the Services.

Certain Services may feature content, data, applications, or materials provided by third parties ("Third-Party Materials") or include links to third-party websites. Third-Party Materials may include open-source software or other third-party tools, such as large language models, that are part of the AI or machine learning features you access through the Services. By using the Services, you agree that the Company is not responsible for reviewing or verifying the accuracy, completeness, legality, timeliness, or quality of Third-Party Materials or websites. We do not endorse or assume liability for third-party content, materials, or services, and any such materials or links are offered solely for your convenience.

Right to Modify Terms: Emergent Methods reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to change, modify, or replace these Terms and Conditions at any time.
